Any idea how much the Bridget Phillipson/David Bell review into schools' response to antisemitism is costing? Is David Bell doing it for nothing? This is categorically not an antisemitic comment, rather an observation that the relationship between the two - Sunderland MP and university leader who seems to be teflon-coated - might be a bit close. From leaving Reading University with £20m of debt to the disingenuous handling of the National Glass Centre, Bell has risen leaving others to clean up the mess. Other university leaders are surely available, possibly even outside the MP's region, to look into this.
