Brian I did get all your emails. Thank you. This is about my 5th attempt at this one. This system is unfriendly! I was pleased to see the piece on Healthworks and wanted to pick up on your comment. For a small charity, I thought Healthworks did brilliantly to pull off an excellent conference and high quality report. I am not surprised they did not have time to engage the media (many of whom are not interested in good news stories). Perhaps it's an issue you could raise with Lisa Goodwin at Connected Voice? Glad you got the replies - although God knows where they are stored. I can’t see them! My comment about Healthworks’ PR wasn’t intended as a criticism. It was my (possibly clumsy) way of being even-handed in criticising mainstream media outlets for not picking up on the event and the impact report.
I think you raised an important issue. I get frustrated by the lack of coverage of excellent work in the vol sector. When you have limited resources you just get tired of trying and hope social media is the answer. Clearly not! Which is why I think you have insights to share with vol sector! Barbara
